Our approach

A repeatable, framework-grounded method.

A disciplined, five-stage method. Each stage has a defined objective, the activities HQP performs, the artifacts you receive, and explicit exit criteria — so you always know where the work stands and what “done” means.

Backed by over 30 years of hands-on delivery, HQP blends recognized practice with real-world insight to help your teams move forward with confidence.

Stage 1 – Discover

Baseline the current state.

Objective: Establish a shared, evidence-based understanding of the current state, the problem, and the outcomes that define success — before any solution is proposed.

Key activities

  • Interview sponsors, process owners, and frontline stakeholders
  • Inventory existing processes, systems, data sources, and prior initiatives
  • Gather baseline metrics — volumes, cycle times, financials — and context
  • Present discovery findings to the sponsor before moving to Analyze
Exit criteriaSponsor sign-off on problem, scope, and success measures · Current-state baseline documented and validated · Key data sources identified, with access and privacy approvals in place · Findings reviewed with the sponsor and a clear decision to proceed

Stage 2 – Analyze

Map processes and define requirements.

Objective: Turn raw data and observations into validated findings, root causes, and prioritized opportunities that justify the direction of the solution.

Key activities

  • Profile and assess data quality, completeness, and reliability
  • Model current-state processes and quantify bottlenecks and gaps
  • Elicit and document business, stakeholder, and solution requirements
  • Size the opportunity and build the fact base for the business case
Exit criteriaFindings traceable to evidence and validated · Requirements prioritized and approved · Business case justifies proceeding

Stage 3 – Design

Target-state and the plan.

Objective: Define a target-state solution and a credible implementation path that satisfies the prioritized requirements and is agreed by all decision-makers.

Key activities

  • Generate and evaluate solution options against feasibility, cost, and fit
  • Design target-state processes, workflows, and operating-model changes
  • Document system requirements, functional specifications, and business rules
  • Build the phased implementation roadmap and resource plan
Exit criteriaDesign and specifications formally approved · Roadmap, resourcing, and dependencies agreed · Success metrics and how they’ll be measured are accepted

Stage 4 – Deliver

Build, test, deploy.

Objective: Execute the approved plan to build, test, and deploy the solution into the client environment with quality and control.

Key activities

  • Build and configure the solution in prioritized increments
  • Run QA, validation, and UAT against acceptance criteria
  • Establish a champion (super-user) network and deliver role-based enablement
  • Execute cutover / go-live and stabilize in production
Exit criteriaDeliverables pass UAT and meet acceptance criteria · Solution deployed and formally accepted · Client team trained and documentation handed over · Every deliverable has a named owner

Stage 5 – Measure & Sustain

Prove and sustain the value.

Objective: Confirm the solution delivers the intended value, embed it into operations, and set the client up to sustain and build on the results independently.

Key activities

  • Measure actual outcomes against the baseline and target KPIs
  • Establish governance, ownership, and ongoing data-quality routines
  • Coach client teams and transfer knowledge
  • Formally close the engagement and agree any ongoing support model
Exit criteriaRealized results measured against success metrics · Ownership, governance, and sustainment routines in place · Engagement formally closed with documented outcomes
